Is breaking out after a facial always purging?

No. New bumps can be related to irritation, a product reaction, or other causes, so purging should not be the automatic explanation. A useful follow-up includes when the bumps appeared, what they feel like, and exactly what was used during and after the treatment.

A post-facial breakout is not automatically “purging”

Note when they appeared and whether there is itching, pain, heat, or swelling. Contact the treating provider with those details and your aftercare products. Worsening symptoms need prompt assessment.
