Are itchy bumps always fungal acne?

No. Itching alone does not establish that diagnosis. I would avoid repeatedly switching acne products based on appearance alone because the wrong category can prolong the problem.

Itching does not automatically mean “fungal acne”

Folliculitis can have infectious and noninfectious causes, and several conditions can resemble acne. Where the bumps are, and whether they started after a product, hair removal, or another change, can help narrow it down. Persistent symptoms deserve assessment rather than repeated acne-product experiments.
